We do not sell your data to third parties. Offline mode ensures complete privacy with zero data transmission. When you use AI Translator, you may provide certain information directly to us:

  • Voice Input: When you use voice translation features, your voice audio is temporarily processed to convert speech to text and translate it. Voice data is processed locally on your device when using offline mode, or sent to our translation servers for online translation.
  • Text Input: Text you type for translation is processed to provide translation results. Translation history is saved locally on your device.
  • Photo/Camera Input: When you use the photo translator feature, images you capture or upload are analyzed to extract and translate text. Photos are processed temporarily and are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly save them.
  • Translation History: Your translation history is stored locally on your device to provide quick access to past translations. You can delete this history at any time.
  • Language Preferences: Your preferred languages and settings are stored to personalize your experience.
  • Support Communications: When you contact us at engr.salmankh.77@gmail.com, we collect your email address and the content of your message to provide support.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

To improve the App's functionality and user experience, we automatically collect certain information:

  • Device Information: We collect device model, iOS version, unique device identifiers, device language settings, and network information.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used (voice, photo, text translation), language pairs selected, translation frequency, and app performance metrics.
  • Crash Reports and Diagnostics: We collect crash reports and error logs to identify and fix technical issues. These reports may include device state information at the time of the crash but do not include your translation content.

AI Translator requests the following permissions to function properly. You can manage these permissions in your device settings:

  • Microphone Permission: Required for voice translation features. Your voice is converted to text for translation purposes only.
  • Camera Permission: Required for photo translator features to capture images of text for translation.

3. Data Processing and Translation Privacy

3.1 Local Processing (Offline Mode)

AI Translator prioritizes local, on-device processing for maximum privacy:

  • Offline Translation: When you download language packs, all translations occur directly on your device without internet connection. Your voice, text, and photos never leave your device in offline mode.
  • Translation History: All translation history is stored locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
  • Voice Processing: In offline mode, voice recognition and translation happen entirely on your device.
  • Photo Analysis: Text extraction from photos is performed locally when using offline language packs.

3.2 Online Processing

When using online translation features (without downloaded language packs):

  • Text, voice audio, and photo data are temporarily sent to our secure translation servers
  • Data is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections
  • Translation requests are processed and immediately deleted after delivery of results
  • We do not store your translation content on our servers
  • Voice recordings are converted to text and the audio is immediately discarded

3.3 AI Translation Models

We use advanced AI translation models to provide accurate translations. These models are trained on publicly available multilingual datasets and do not include your personal translation data. Your translations are not used to train or improve our AI models without your explicit consent.

3.4 Data Retention

  • Translation Content: Not stored on our servers. All content is processed transiently and immediately discarded after translation delivery.
  • Translation History: Stored locally on your device until you delete it. You have complete control over your history.
  • Usage Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized usage data is retained for up to 24 months for improvement purposes.
  • Crash Reports: Retained for up to 12 months to identify and fix recurring issues.
  • Support Communications: Retained for up to 36 months for customer service purposes.

4. In-App Purchases and Billing

4.1 In-App Purchase Information

When you make in-app purchases through AI Translator, the following applies:

  • Payment Processing: In-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles all payment information, including credit card details, which are not transmitted to or stored by AI Translator.
  • Purchase History: Information about your purchases (such as purchase date, amount, and items purchased) is stored on your device and associated with your Apple ID account.
  • Refunds: Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Apple according to their App Store guidelines and policies. Contact Apple Support for refund inquiries.
  • Purchase Records: We may collect non-sensitive purchase metadata (such as purchase type, date, and quantity) for analytics purposes only. This data is aggregated and anonymized for app improvement and does not include payment information.
  • Subscription Management: If you subscribe to premium features, you can manage your subscriptions through:

  • Premium Feature Usage: We track which premium features you use to improve those services and provide personalized recommendations, but do not track the content of your translations with premium features.
  • No Storage of Payment Data: We do not store, have access to, or transmit your credit card numbers, banking information, or other sensitive payment details. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple in compliance with PCI DSS standards.
  • Receipt Verification: We may verify receipts with Apple's servers to confirm valid purchases and prevent fraud, but this process does not expose your payment information to us.

5.1 AdMob Ads and Data Collection

AI Translator uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. When you view ads, the following occurs:

  • Ad Serving: Google AdMob displays personalized and non-personalized ads based on your interests and device information.
  • Advertising Identifier (IDFA): We allow Google to use your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iOS) to deliver personalized ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud.
  • Data Collected by Google: Google collects and processes data including:
    • Device identifiers and IDFA
    • IP address
    • Device type and operating system
    • Browser type and version
    • User interests and browsing behavior
    • App usage patterns
    • General location data (country/region level)
  • Google's Privacy Practices: Google's use of data for advertising is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Ad Settings.
  • Third-Party Ad Networks: AdMob may include ads from third-party ad networks and advertisers. These third parties have their own privacy policies governing how they collect and use data.
  • Ad Tracking: Our use of AdMob does not track your translation activity or translation content. Ad targeting is based on general device information, advertising identifiers, and general browsing behavior, not your personal communications.
  • No Translation Content in Ads: Your translation content, voice data, or photos are never used for advertising purposes or shared with advertisers.
  • SKAdNetwork Attribution: We use Apple's SKAdNetwork framework to measure ad campaign performance while maintaining privacy. This allows measurement of ad effectiveness without tracking individual user behavior.

5.2 Ad Personalization and User Control

You have full control over ad personalization:

  • Opt Out of Personalized Ads (iOS):
    • Go to Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → turn off "Personalized Ads"
    • You will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to your interests
  • Reset Your Advertising ID (iOS):
    • Go to Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Reset Advertising ID
    • This generates a new ID and clears previous targeting information
  • Limit Ad Tracking (iOS):
    • Go to Settings → Privacy → Tracking
    • Disable app tracking to limit cross-app tracking for ad targeting

  • Non-Personalized Ads: If you opt out of personalized ads, you will continue to see ads, but they may be based on general content rather than your interests, potentially be less relevant to you, and possibly be more repetitive.
  • Impact on App: Disabling personalized ads does not affect the core functionality of AI Translator, but may reduce our ad revenue, which helps us maintain free and low-cost premium features.

5.3 Google AdMob Terms and Policies

By using AI Translator, you agree to Google's AdMob terms and policies. For more information about Google's advertising practices:

We ensure that Google AdMob does not serve ads in the following sensitive categories:

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

6.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data

AI Translator does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or translation data to third parties for marketing purposes. Your privacy is not for sale.

Important Note on CCPA: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, we do not "sell" personal information. However, sharing data with Google AdMob for ad personalization and with analytics providers may be considered "sharing" under CCPA. See Section 9 for CCPA-specific information.

6.2 Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the App. These providers have access only to the information necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect your data:

  • Translation API Providers: For online translation, we may use third-party translation APIs (such as Google Cloud Translation, Microsoft Translator). These providers process translation requests according to their privacy policies.
  • Speech Recognition Services: For online voice translation, we may use cloud-based speech recognition services that are compliant with privacy standards.
  • Analytics Providers: We use analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics) to understand app usage. These providers collect anonymized usage data.
  • Ad Networks: Google AdMob and other third-party ad networks serve ads within the App and collect advertising data as described in Section 5.

7.3 Permission Management

You can manage app permissions at any time through your device settings:

  • iOS: Settings → AI Translator → Permissions or Settings → Privacy

Note that disabling certain permissions may limit app functionality. For example, disabling microphone access will prevent voice translation features from working.

7.4 Offline Mode for Maximum Privacy

For complete privacy, we recommend using offline mode:

  • Download language packs for the languages you need
  • Enable offline mode in Settings
  • All translations will occur entirely on your device
  • Zero data transmission to servers
  • Complete privacy even without internet connection
  • Note: Offline mode will not display ads, but ads help support free features.

7.5 Analytics Opt-Out

You can opt out of analytics tracking in the App settings under Privacy → Analytics. Opting out may limit our ability to improve the App based on usage patterns.

8. Children's Privacy

AI Translator is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): We comply with COPPA regulations. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information, we will delete the account and information immediately.

AI Translator is available globally and supports 320+ languages. If you use the App outside your country of residence, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

When we transfer data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards, including:

  • Ensuring service providers meet adequate data protection standards

  • Shine the Light Request: You have the right to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

Important Note on AdMob and Transfers: Your data may be transferred to the United States for Google AdMob ad serving. Google complies with standard contractual clauses and other transfer mechanisms approved under GDPR.

If you are in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023:
